Heavy rainfall and flood warnings remain in place around New South Wales, with people encouraged to visit the SES website for updates on their local area.
“We’ve got over 600 volunteers that have been out there in the field in the last 24 hours,” SES Assistant Commissioner Sean Kearns told Sky News Australia.“If there is intense localised rainfall it can lead to very quick flash flooding,” he said.
“We’re going to see flooding occurring for days, if not weeks, in some of the western parts of the state.”
