People in the Western Plains Tourist Park were asked to evacuate just before 2am "because inundation by floodwater is imminent" and an evacuation centre was set up at Dubbo Showground.SES Assistant Commissioner Dean Storey toldStorey said although the rain had eased across the state, it was important to remain off roads in flooded areas and to remain cautious."The dams are full as well.
Emergency services are also warning all people travelling to Bathurst for the Bathurst 1000 to allow for extra travel time.
