The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) launches a new weekly television-radio program, 'DOLE at Your Service sa Bagong Pilipinas,' to increase public awareness of its programs and initiatives, particularly benefiting Filipino workers.
The Department of Labor and Employment ( DOLE ), in collaboration with the Presidential Broadcast Service-Bureau of Broadcast Services (PBS-BBS) and Radyo Pilipinas, launched its inaugural television-radio program, ' DOLE at Your Service sa Bagong Pilipinas,' on January 10, 2025. The program is designed to elevate public understanding of DOLE 's extensive array of programs and initiatives, making them more readily accessible to Filipino workers nationwide.
During the program's premiere episode, Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma delivered a pre-recorded message, underscoring the importance of this platform in connecting with the workforce. The program delved into timely updates regarding DOLE's employment facilitation programs and initiatives. A significant focus was placed on the support being provided to workers impacted by the closure of internet gaming licensee operations within the country.Alongside Secretary Laguesma's message, the pilot episode featured the participation of Rosalinda Pineda, Officer-in-Charge of the Labor Department Information and Publication Service, along with other key personnel from both DOLE and PBS technical teams. The weekly teleradyo program, airing every Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., is the result of a joint endeavor between DOLE and PBS-BBS, formalized through a memorandum of agreement signed by Secretary Laguesma and PBS-BBS Director Fernando Sanga on December 27, 2024.
