THE Department of Labor and Employment has distributed P180,000 worth of livelihood kits to six micro-enterprises in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, a top DOLE official said Friday, February 28, 2025. DOLE Regional Director Albert Gutib said the livelihood kits were distributed on Tuesday, February 25, at the DOLE Zamboanga del Sur Field Office and the recipient members of micro-enterprises from the towns of Tambulig and Vincenzo Sagun.

'This initiative aims to scale up operations, generate steady income for business owners, and create local job opportunities, fostering self-sufficiency and economic growth in the community,' Gutib said in a statement.He said the recipients of the livelihood kits were participants of DOLE's Technical and Advisory Visit program, a hands-on initiative where DOLE representative visit micro-enterprises to promote compliance with labor standards.
