The National Capital Region registered 15,843 new cases in the past two week, followed by Calabarzon with 10,052, Central Luzon with 5,212, Western Visayas with 2,873, and Cagayan Valley with 2,236. Meanwhile, the DOH said that at least 4,617 more patients recovered from COVID-19, increasing the recovery tally to 3,726,442.On the other hand, the nationwide bed occupancy rate increased to 30.3%, while the number of beds occupied were at 8,755, while at least 20,106 were vacant.

As of August 12, a total of 23,552 individuals were tested, while 324 testing laboratories submitted data.
