The Department of Migrant Workers said they are coordinating with the Migrant Worker’s Office and the Philippine Embassy in the United Arab Emirates to facilitate the repatriation of the 220 recently pardoned Overseas Filipino Workers .In a statement issued Wednesday, the DMW expressed their gratitude to the UAE for granting the pardon and emphasized the role played by the friendship of the two countries.

The DMW said that they are ready to work with their MWO and the Philippine Embassy in facilitating the repatriation of the OFWs and providing comprehensive support for their reintegration into the country.“We look forward to welcoming our pardoned OFWs back home and supporting them in their paths toward full reintegration,” the statement read.The detained OFWs were pardoned by the UAE in line with the UAE's 53rd National Day on December 2, 2024.DFA Undersecretary Ma.
