The Department of Foreign Affairs reported Friday that an additional 27 Filipinos abroad have been found infected with the novel coronavirus disease .
This, while seven more have succumbed to the respiratory illness, raising the death toll to 79, DFA added.“To date, the DFA reports a total of 634 confirmed COVID-19 cases among our nationals across the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East/Africa, of which 27.1% have recovered and 12.5% fatalities recorded,” it said.
The 27.1% represents the 555 cases wherein 383 currently receive treatment while 172 were either recovered or released from the hospital.
