Confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in San Juan City climbed to 147 with a total of 27 fatalities, Mayor Francis Zamora disclosed.

As of April 9, the local chief executive said there were 254 persons under investigation and 527 persons under monitoring for the disease in the city of over 122,000 residents.

“Isang malaking pasasalamat po sa Diyos at 16 na pasyente na ang naka-recover mula sa COVID-19 sa Lungsod ng San Juan ,” he said.Zamora said 40 COVID-19 patients, including those who have recovered from the disease, were already discharged and have returned to their homes after their health status has improved.

All of the 21 barangays of San Juan already have at least one recorded case of the disease, the city government disclosed in its latest update.
