The Committee charged with assessing and evaluating over 900 senior Philippine National Police (PNP) officers has agreed to meet twice a week to speed up the process of eliminating drug traffickers.
The Committee tasked to conduct assessment and evaluation of over 900 senior officers of the Philippine National Police has agreed to meet twice a week in order to expedite the process which is aimed at eliminating those who have links to illegal drugs activities in the country.
He said a total of 118 officers, all of them holding key positions in the police organization, were the first to be evaluated and assessed during their meeting last week. Azurin is a member of the Committee of Five, or the Advisory Group, with former Defense secretary Gilbert Teodoro, retired general and now Baguio City Mayor Benjnie Magalong, Undersecretary Isagani Nerez and retired Court of Appeals Associate Justice Melchor Sadang.
