ICTSI's Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) in Croatia will be integrated into CMA CGM Short Sea Lines' Bora Med service, enhancing connectivity and transit times for the Adriatic region.

ICTSI 's Croatian business unit, Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), operating at the port of Rijeka, is being integrated into CMA CGM Short Sea Lines' Bora Med service. This addition signifies AGCT's pivotal role in the Adriatic region and its dedication to offering flexible solutions for clients. 'We welcome the opportunities brought about by the enhanced coverage and faster transit times,' stated Emmanuel Papagiannakis, CEO of AGCT, in a release by ICTSI .

The Bora Med service, launched in late December 2023, aims to establish a sustainable maritime connection between Turkey, the Adriatic region, and Eastern Mediterranean ports. Replacing the intra-Mediterranean SSLMED Türkiye Med Express 3, Rijeka port is now a key part of the service. The new service offers the Adriatic market significant upgrades, including larger vessels with capacities up to 2,500 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) and an expanded port rotation. These improvements are projected to considerably enhance connectivity and transit times for both regional and international shipments.AGCT, alongside other ICTSI business units in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, experienced an 8.2% surge in volumes to 673,317 TEUs in the third quarter of 2024 compared to 622,002 TEUs in 2023. This growth is attributed to the revitalization of trade activities at Baltic Container Terminal, AGCT, and Madagascar International Container Terminal Services Ltd. On Thursday, ICTSI's share price declined by P1 to close at P394 per share
