Philippine Airlines (PAL) is boosting inter-island connectivity and tourism by launching a new route from Cebu to Catarman in Northern Samar and increasing flights to popular tourist destination Siargao.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is expanding its flight services from Cebu starting March with a new route to Catarman in Northern Samar and increased flights to Siargao . This move aims to enhance inter-island connectivity, boost tourism, and stimulate business. The Cebu - Catarman - Cebu route will operate three times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with flights departing at 9:50 am from Cebu and arriving at 10:55 am in Catarman .

Flights from Catarman depart at 11:25 am and arrive in Cebu at 12:30 pm. PAL will utilize an 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8 Series 400 Next Generation aircraft for this route. Travelers from Catarman can connect to other destinations from Cebu, including Caticlan (Boracay), Clark, Busuanga (Coron), Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, and Siargao. In addition, PAL has expanded its Cebu-Siargao flights, offering two new midmorning flights every Wednesday and Sunday, departing from Cebu at 9:50 am and from Siargao at 11:15 am, starting March 1
