DAVAO CITY - An infant, who was less than a month old, died Saturday due to the coronavirus disease 2019 , according to the Department of Health in the Davao region.
Based on the profile released by the health department, the 25-day old male baby lived in the densely-populated Barangay 23-C in Davao City.
SPMC chief Dr. Leopoldo Vega said that on May 7 the infant was brought to their hospital with LBM and fever, which are among the symptoms of COVID-19. Some areas in Barangay 23-C, were among the first to be put on lockdown when they had their first COVID-19 case, as the local government feared rapid infection in a crowded community.
