THE Davao City Police Office will deploy over 200 personnel to ensure public safety during the Chinese New Year celebrations on January 28, 2025.In an interview carried live via dxDC RMN Davao, DCPO spokesperson Police Captain Hazel Tuazon confirmed that the deployment aims to maintain peace and security during the festive events.

Given the expected large gatherings and activities in the city, the DCPO has outlined a list of strictly prohibited items and behaviors during the Chinese New Year celebrations. These include fireworks and firecrackers, smoking, carrying backpacks or large bags, wearing jackets or sunglasses in inspection areas, consuming alcoholic beverages, using laser lights, making bomb jokes, and bringing firearms, drones, or bladed weapons.
