800 Families Affected by Flooding and Landslides in Davao Region

The Office of Civil Defense-Davao Region (OCD-Davao) reported that around 800 families were affected by flooding and landslides caused by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in the region. Around 877 families were preemptively evacuated due to flooding in Davao Occidental, while 10 families were evacuated in Davao Oriental. The OCD-Davao conducted both preemptive and forced evacuations in affected areas, and reported damaged infrastructure including the Lais Bridge and the National Bridge in Malita. Disaster response teams are monitoring the situation and the OCD-Davao is ready to provide further assistance.
