PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains open to relevant suggestions from Vice President Sara Duterte if they will help the public, Malacañang said Thursday. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro issued the statement after the Office of the Vice President said it was a “disservice” to Filipinos that Duterte was being kept out of the loop.“On the part of the Palace , we welcome any relevant suggestion, any good suggestion that comes from the OVP,” Castro said during a Palace press briefing.

“So, it is not the President that is blocking what she wants to do for the people,” Castro said.“First and foremost, the President is willing to hear any relevant suggestion from her,” she added.Castro also denied the OVP’s allegations that Marcos had a hand in its slashed budget for 2025.She said the Department of Budget and Management increased the proposed budget of the OVP for 2026 from P733 million to P903 million. The OVP sought a budget of P2.
