Youngest COVID19 fatality in PH is 29-day-old boy: DOH
MANILA — The Department of Health on Tuesday confirmed that the youngest COVID-19 fatality in the Philippines is an infant from Batangas province.
Vergeire said the male infant was brought to the hospital because he had trouble breathing or shortness of breath. It was then that he was diagnosed with pneumonia.ABS-CBN News reported on Monday that a new entry in the DOH COVID-19 tracker website included male fatality who was in the range of 0 to 4 years old.
Sepsis, which is an extreme response to infection, was often cited as a cause of death in the previous fatality cases reported by the DOH.
