The highly anticipated next-generation Yamaha NMax Tech Max has finally arrived in the Philippines. The scooter boasts a refreshed design, a new Electric CVT transmission with ride modes, and an updated instrument cluster.

After a long wait, the all-new Yamaha NMax Tech Max has finally arrived. A week after opening reservations, Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) officially launched this highly anticipated next-generation model. YMPH held a turnover ceremony for the first 155 customers of the NMax Tech Max, giving us our first proper glimpse of the updated scooter. The all-new Yamaha NMax Tech Max boasts a more aggressive styling, featuring a redesigned front clip with newly styled headlights.

It now sports a modern and eye-catching design, highlighted by an upward crest in the middle. While the overall shape has been retained, the reworked face gives the NMax Tech Max a fresh and distinct look. At the rear, the NMax Tech Max ditches the butterfly-like taillights and boxy rear end of its predecessors, opting for a new design that complements the front nicely. Powering the NMax Tech Max is a 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Blue Core engine paired with Yamaha's new Electric CVT (Y-ECVT). This new transmission enables the scooter's different ride modes: Touring and Sport. The former is designed for daily commutes, while the latter caters to more spirited rides. The Y-ECVT also allows for three-level shift control, enabling riders to adjust throttle response, acceleration, and deceleration for a more customized riding experience. Another notable addition is the instrument cluster, which features two small digital displays. The upper half displays the speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge, while the lower half is a dynamic display that can show the rev meter, trip information, or a Garmin-powered navigation system. It also supports smartphone pairing via the Y-Connect app.Similar to its predecessor, the NMax Tech Max retains features like a smart key system with keyless ignition, multiple pockets on the front end, and a spacious 25-liter underseat storage. It also continues to offer a traction control system and dual-channel ABS as standard. We'll provide a more comprehensive review of the all-new Yamaha NMax Tech Max once we have the opportunity to ride it. However, in the meantime, we invite you to explore more photos. The all-new Yamaha NMax Tech Max is priced at P175,900. A non-Tech Max variant is also available without the Y-ECVT and the new instrument cluster but with the updated design, priced at P155,900.
