Sudbury outshot the Petes but couldn’t turn those attempts into goals

The Sudbury Wolves spent their Family Day holiday in Peterborough where they lost a 4-0 contest to the Petes.

As the Wolves did in Sunday’s match against Niagara , penalty trouble kept the Pack from playing at full strength for nearly the equivalent of a full period. They took eight penalties, one of which was a game misconduct for Nicholas Yearwood for a check to the head. The loss drops the Wolves record to 21-24-5-3, which puts them ninth in the OHL’s Eastern Conference and 17th overall.Peterborough scored its first of four goals at 18:13 of the first period off the stick of Gavin White, his 10th of the season .

The Petes made it 2-0 at 17:44 of the second, thanks to Brian Zanetti, his fourth of the season, assisted by Jonathan Melee and Chase Stillman. At 19:47, Peterborough made it 3-0 after Jax Dubois fed Chase Stillman who scored his 17th of the season.
