Fast-forward 12 years and the biggest IT companies are now fighting for their own survival and profitability.In parallel, the most notable social media groups face an avalanche of criticism for spread of misinformation, the hoarding of data for nefarious purposes and the worsening mental health problems of teens.
“For my sister, your sister, our sister. To change brains that rot. For shame of poverty. For the yearning for an ordinary life. For the sake of the poor child picking through the garbage and his dreams. For this command economy. For this polluted air,” the song reads. “We are seeing for the first time that a large number of women have overcome their fear and are showing themselves in public without the obligatory hijab,” said Azadeh Kian, a sociologist at the Centre for Gender and Feminist Studies at the University of Paris, who has researched the women’s movement in Iran.“This has secularised the image of women in society and encouraged women to take further steps and demand equal rights,” she told Deutsche Welle.
