MANILA, Philippines -- WORLD Junior Championships semifinalist Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh will spearhead Team Philippines in the swimming competition of the 13th Asean Schools Games beginning Sunday in Da Nang, Vietnam.
The Brent International School-Manila standout will be seeing action in four individual events, aiming to surpass her two-bronze medal haul in the 2019 edition held in Semarang, Indonesia. Mojdeh made her presence felt on her first Asean Schools Games stint, winning bronzes in the 100-meter butterfly and 200-m butterfly events.This year, Mojdeh hopes to sweep all her four individual events — 100-m butterfly, 200-m butterfly, 400-m Individual Medley and 200-m Individual Medley.
It's really an honor to wave our Philippine flag in international arena,' said Mojdeh.Joining Mojdeh in the girls' division are Kyla Bulaga, Shania Baraquiel, Krystal David, Catherine Cruz, Riannah Coleman, Clara de los Santos, Trixie Ortiguerra, Daryn Santamaria, Patricia Santor, Renavive Subida, Maxene Uy, Ishaelle Villa and Ashley Wong.
