MANILA -- National University lost a set for the first time but still pulled off a four-set triumph over the University of Santo Tomas in Game 1 of the finals of the Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-Season Championship, Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.
National U won their previous first matches without dropping a set. It's also their 17th straight win in the preseason tilt, having completed an eight-game sweep of the first season.
