A barangay councilor and two barangay tanods or watchmen were killed by two unidentified armed men inside a videoke bar in Dumalinao town, Zamboanga del Sur province, last Friday, Dec. 16.
ZAMBOANGA CITY –
Major Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-9 information officer, said the victims were having a drinking session when the gunmen entered and shot them. Richard Evidientes, 38, councilor of Barangay Upper Dumalinao; and tanods Arnold Evidientes Duhaylungsod, 44, of Barangay Upper Dumalinao, and Joel Mendez Spadilla, 48, of Barangay Mecolong, Dumalinao, died on the spot.The suspects boarded a motorcycle and sped off towards Barangay Pantad in Dumalinao.
