Kizzie Madriaga, Jelai Gajero, and Jenalyn Umayam also moved to UP as they joined forces with Vital, who was also their high school coach at the California Academy in Antipolo.The player drain continued for the Lady Warriors when Shamel Fernandez, Yesha Rojo, and Claire Castillo also left.Fernandez joined fellow California Academy standouts at UP while Rojo and Castillo moved to the College of Saint Benilde in the NCAA.
