Two Chinese EV firms considering investments in Automotive High-Tech Valley FMTNews FMTBusiness
Science, technology and innovation minister Chang Lih Kang said that China Harmony Auto Holdings Ltd and GAC AION New Energy Automobile Co Ltd are considering making investments in the proposed Automotive High-Tech Valley project in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
“In line with our roadmap, we hope to achieve 38% EVs on the road by 2040. Although we do not have an ecosystem, this is a good start. Geely coming in and other EV companies’ interest in investing here would help us build a complete ecosystem,” said Chang at the science, technology and innovation ministry today.
NanoMalaysia Bhd, one of Mosti’s agency, is currently ramping up the domestic electric mobility ecosystem through programmes including the National Energy Storage Technology Initiative , EMERGE , REVIVE , HyPER , and BICEP .
