Butternut Bakery’s ube brazo cake consists of light, airy, thick meringue with a golden-brown, crunchy exterior, packed between creamy layers of ube yema, made with real ube halaya. It is then lightly dusted with powdered sugar. It’s a premium brazo de mercedes cake; nothing is overly sweet, the taste of ube really shines, and its texture, although, soft, still offers a bite. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a beautiful 5-layer cake!Butternut Bakery also offers an OG version of their brazo cake, sans the ube, but of the same quality. That costs P110 a slice and P1,100 for the whole cake.
