Nine guerilla members of the New People’s Army (NPA), who admitted they were already weary of their armed struggle, surrendered to the government forces, the military announced.

They also turned over an M16 assault rifle with two magazines and 58 bullets, an M1 Garand rifle and 10 bullets, a shotgun with three bullets, and a caliber.45 pistol loaded with eight bullets.
