A 34-year-old truck driver was arrested at the Talisay City Jail in Negros Occidental after a routine inspection revealed a sachet of suspected shabu (0.05 grams) in his pocket and two bladed weapons concealed in his slippers. The driver was visiting his uncle, who is incarcerated for a drug offense.

BACOLOD CITY – A 34-year-old truck driver was caught with suspected shabu and improvised bladed weapons while visiting his uncle detained at the Talisay City Jail in Talisay City, Negros Occidental in Saturday, Feb. 8.

Jail Chief Insp. Kevin Bonilla, warden of the Talisay City Jail, said a jail guard conducting a routine inspection on visitors intercepted the suspect with a sachet of suspected shabu in his right pocket. The contraband weighed 0.05 grams and worth P340.
