They were supposed to perform at Pensacola Christian College last Saturday but were cancelled two hours before the show was to open over concerns about what the college called the lifestyle of a singer, who is gay. The cancellation sparked a backlash from artists, gay rights activists and fans. The group released a statement saying members, two of whom are gay, were shocked by the decision and that “any conversations that follow might encourage a greater sense of love, acceptance and inclusion.”Article content
