Vigus prices have been revealed, too
In case you missed it, JMC Philippines has announced that it will be launching its Grand Avenue and Vigus pickup models at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show. Ahead of the event in April, the carmaker has also revealed the introductory prices and complete specs for these trucks. As expected, all variants will be powered by a 2.3-liter turbodiesel engine that generates 174hp and 450Nm of torque, mated either to a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Standard equipment for the entire model range includes 17-inch alloys with 265/65 tires, four-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, traction control, hill-launch and hill-descent assistance, front and rear parking sensors, leather seats, and a 10-inch multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. There are five exterior colors to choose from: Pearl White, Shining Silver, Silver Sand Black, Sandy Brown, and Cosmic Gray.
Payload capacity is 965kg for the 4x2 variant and 895kg for the 4x4. The published ground clearance is 200mm, while wading depth is listed at 450mm. The truck sits on 16-inch alloy wheels with 245/70 tires. Stoppers are discs up front and drum brakes at the back. Thoughts on the pricing? Do you think JMC’s trucks will be able to grab sales from the more popular and established pickup models available on the local market?
