Local telcos remained operational in areas hit by the earthquake with no infrastructure damage detected, so far.
“Our technical teams immediately assessed our network and we found no damage on our infrastructure. Our network is stable,” confirmed Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto.
Similarly, “The services of PLDT and Smart remain operational in the areas affected by the recent magnitude 7.0 earthquake that hit Abra,” announced Cathy Yang, First Vice-President and Group Head of Corporate Communications at PLDT and Smart. They set up a Libreng Tawag station at Jose Singson St., Barangay VIII, Poblacion, Vigan City Sur, to serve the communication needs of affected residents in the area.
