Sinabi ng isang telecommunications operations expert na dapat itrato ang telco services na katulad ng sa water at power utilities dahil ang internet connection sa digital age ay “naging isa nang karapatang pantao.”

Ang House Bill Nos. 8534 at 900, na may magkaparehong layunin, ang dalawa sa mga panukala na inihain sa House of Representatives na naglalayong bigyan ang property developers ng tiyak na mga tuntunin at depinisyon sa kung gaano kalaking espasyo ang dapat nilang ilaan upang magkaloob ng kailangang telecommunication services.
Sa 2021 data mula sa National Telecommunications Commission ay lumitaw na may mahigit 22,000 cell sites sa bansa, mas mababa sa one-third ng Vietnam na 90,000, at pinagsasuhan ang mga ito ng tatlong telcos. Ipinanukala ng Private Sector Advisory Council ang 35,000 karagdagang cell sites.
