An advocacy group has called on property owners to lift the lease fees for the installation broadband connectivity of telecommunications as more Filipinos need internet access, saying that such is now a basic necessity.
“Dapat free o kaya pinapagamit nila ng libre para ma-improve ‘yung internet, ‘yung communication natin, mas maganda ‘yun,” dapat i-regulate ng government,” he added. Vallejos also emphasized that the government should “take part” in suspending lease fees for broadband connectivity and expressed support on enacting a law to help the telcos in providing sufficient internet connection through widening its coverage.
