More mergers and acquisitions are expected in the superannuation industry in 2023.
However, there are expected to be fewer mega-mergers like the one between QSuper and Sunsuper in 2022.
The Association of Superannuation Fund’s Chief Executive, Martin Fahy, told The Australian that mergers would remain part of the super landscape in 2023 as funds seek to achieve scale and drive down administration and investment fees.
