Under the initiative, 180,000 fee-free TAFE places will be on offer in Australia in 2023.
The fee-free courses are part of a joint initiative between state and federal governments.
The fee-free TAFE and vocational training places are available through a Skills Agreement between state and federal governments and apply to courses across a range of industries.On New Year's Eve, the prime minister took to Twitter to promote his government's initiative for fee-free TAFE courses. Through the agreement, 180,000 fee-free TAFE and vocational educational places will be available from January 2023.
"These fee-free training places will provide Australians opportunities to get trained for the jobs in demand now and in the future and deliver to business the skilled workers they need," he said.
