The state weather bureau on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25, confirmed that super typhoon Karding has made landfall in Quezon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration disclosed that the eye of Karding made its first landfall in the vicinity of Burdeos, Quezon at 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, in its bulletin issued as of 4 p.m., PAGASA said the eyewall of super typhoon Karding is now affecting Polillo Islands. Due to the weather disturbance, heavy to sometimes torrential rains may be experienced in Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Aurora, Rizal, and the northern portion of Quezon including Polillo Islands beginning Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25 until Monday morning, Sept. 26.
