LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte: The Solid North, a long-running stronghold of the family of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., joined forces to support the administration-backed senatorial slate.

Ferdinand Alexander 'Sandro' Marcos, underscored the region's political importance and its traditional role as a stronghold for the Marcos family and their allies,' Alyansa said in a statement.Provinces in Northern Luzon have proven to deliver results for President Marcos. In 2016, he won in all provinces in regions 1 and 2, except for Batanes, in the vice-presidential race.
