SM Foundation continues to enhance health care access for Filipinos through partnerships with local communities.
Recently, it turned over its 210th Wellness Center — the San Pablo District Health Center — to Ormoc's local government.Established in 2009, SPDHC serves over 37,000 residents from distant barangay like Cabintan, Gaas, Tongonan and Liberty. Located along a major road, the center functions as a vital satellite office for City Health .
It provides essential services, including family planning, medical consultations, child care and nutrition, mental health and dental care.To promote sustainability, SM Foundation incorporated air-cleaning paints, a rainwater catchment system, and SM DigiKonsulta for online consultations and electronic medical records. These upgrades align with PhilHealth's Konsulta Benefits.Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez praised the project, calling the health center a model for future facilities.
