THE skeletal remains of a person that were unearthed by a backhoe at a construction site in Minglanilla town have already been recognized. According to Saturnina Tapales, the human skeleton belonged to her son, Jolan, who has been missing since July 6, 2016.Tapales said that her son, who at the time was 24 years old and worked as habal-habal driver, left their home without asking permission on the evening of July 6.
The victim’s skeletal remains were discovered by a construction worker in Sitio Upper Lipata, Barangay Linao, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu, around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.A blue basketball jersey with the surname Tapales on the back, striped boxer shorts, a wristband, face towel and black belt, were also found near the bones.
