Isiniwat ng singer-actor na si Gerald Santos sa pagdinig ng Senate Committee on Public Information nitong Lunes na pinagsamantalahan umano siya ng isang dating musical director ng GMA Network, Inc. noong 2005, na kinalaunan ay sinuspinde at sinibak mula sa TV station.
Ginawa ni Gerald ang rebelasyon sa ginagawang pagdinig ng komite kaugnay sa mga patakaran ng mga television network at artist management agencies tungkol sa mga reklamo ng pang-aabuso at harassment.
Batay sa mga dokumentong nakuha ni Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada, nasuspinde at kinalaunan ay tinanggal ng GMA ang sinasabing musical director. "If they say the department is not acting on it, they can go directly to legal, to , or to the Office of the President. So there are different avenues," dagdag niya.
"Ngunit ang nilalaman ng formal complaint na inihain ni Gerald noong 2010 ay naiiba sa akusasyon niya ng rape na binanggit niya sa Senado. Ngayon lang din nakarating sa kaalaman ng pamunuan ng GMA ang bagay na ito. Ayon kay Gerald, hiniling niya na pakawalan siya ng GMA Artist Center at pamahalaan ng GMA Network. Kinalaunan ay lumipat siya ng ibang TV network.
