PH Catholic Church warns against new anti-terrorism bill
MAYNILA—Nagbabala ang Simbahang Katolika nitong Sabado na maaaring mas mapaigting pa ang paniniil sa bansa kapag naging batas na ang kontrobersyal na anti-terrorism bill.
Ayon kay Caritas national director Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo, di dapat payagan ang pagsasabatas ng panukalang di umano makatao at naaayon sa batas. Sa pahayag naman ng Philippine Ecumenical Peace Platform, mapapalala umano ng panukala ang umano’y “red tagging” at paglabag sa karapatang-pantao sa bansa.
