PAGASA raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 over the eastern portion of Babuyan Islands on Tuesday afternoon, July 25, as super typhoon EgayPH (international name: Doksuri) posed a serious threat to Northern Luzon. READ:

PAGASA in its 2 p.m. bulletin said Egay was last spotted 230 kilometers east-northeast of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, or 240 km east of Aparri, Cagayan.

The rest of Babuyan Islands and the northeastern portion of mainland Cagayan were placed under Signal No. 4. Metro Manila, Quezon including Polillo Islands, the rest of Aurora, the rest of Nueva Vizcaya, the rest of Benguet, the rest of La Union, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Marinduque, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Catanduanes were placed under Signal No. 1.
