Senator Cynthia A. Villar is hesitant to fund an agriculture program after officials allegedly failed to distribute subsidies allocated to farmers.
“How do you expect me to give you funds this year when you do not spend what was allotted for you?” Villar, who is also the chair of the agriculture committee, said.
For instance, Resolution No. 158 wants a probe into PhilMech’s alleged failure to implement the mechanization program of the government under Republic Act No. 11203 or the for creating another bureaucracy of advisory council that will supposedly craft policies and guidelines for the said mechanization program under RTL.“The problem with this government is that too many people are meddling into other people’s functions. You have no mercy for the farmers!” Villar added.
“Our farmers are being made to suffer by the DA with no aid coming from the government, and it seems that the DA is doing these on purpose,” Marcos said.
