Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) celebrates the first anniversary of SariCycle, its incentivized plastic collection and recycling program. In its first year, SariCycle has collected 8.1 metric tons of plastic waste, equivalent to over 16 million sachets, demonstrating the impact of community engagement in mitigating plastic pollution. APC commends the 1,000 registered SariCyclers across 23 barangays for their contributions and looks to expand the program to other municipalities in partnership with PASCO.

During the celebration, APC Group celebrated and commended the Top SariCyclers whose contributions have played a significant role in the program’s success. These individuals exemplify the spirit of environmental stewardship, and without them, the project would not have been as successful as it was during its first year.
Lorelyn De Lara-Tamares, executive director at PASCO; Koichi Ozaki, president at APC Group; and Atty. Dwight Ramos, senior VP at BESTAPC’s commitment to sustainability goes beyond the SariCycle program, and to guide them on making future plans materialize, APC has pledged to reduce its environmental impact by 50 percent by 2030, which goes together with global efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental stewardship.
