A RESIDENT of Valencia City, Bukidnon tested positive for the coronavirus disease on Thursday, April 9, Mayor Azucena Huervas said.

In his press release dated April 9, the mayor said the Barangay Lumbayao resident was one of the 427 people who visited the New Davao Matina Gallera cockpit on March 12. "Mga kaigsuonan, kini nga resulta mao ang atong gilauman nga dili unta mahitabo sa atong dakbayan. Apan kini usab ang atong gi preparahan sugod pa man sa unang adlaw sa community quarantine," Huervas said.

He also asked for the cooperation of all residents of Valencia City that they should stay at home, particularly the senior citizens and the minors, to wear face masks when going outside their houses, and to observe social distancing. "Akong gidirektahan ang atong PNP ingon man ang task force nga ipa-istrikto pa gyud ang pagpatuman sa atong mga polisiya. Kung inyong skedyul sa pagpalit sa atong merkado, kinahanglan nga magdoble ingat kitang tanan, magsul-ob ug face mask of mag-obserbar of physical distancing," Huervas said.
