The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday insisted that the welfare of earthquake victims in Davao del Sur and other areas in Mindanao should come first than the release of her drug war report.
Vice Presidential spokesman Barry Gutierrez said while President Duterte’s mouthpiece insisted to talk about politics over the deferment of the report, she will focus on relief efforts for quake-stricken residents.
“He can continue to play politics if he wants while, true to her word, the VP will focus on relief efforts for our fellow Filipinos who need them most,” Gutierrez then continued. Robredo co-chaired for 19 days the Inter-agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs last month, but she was sacked by Duterte because she allegedly can’t handle the job.
“She has deferred her report a number of times, looking for a perfect timing and hoping that people would pay attention to her as she struggles to be relevant,” he added.
