“So, mukhang umabot na tayo sa punto na kailangan nang turuan ng leksyon itong mga gumagawa ng mga ganitong klaseng mga kwento-kwento,” he said, adding that a volunteer group, Lawyers for Leni, said that they will file cases against those spreading fake news.
Gutierrez shared that one individual, who accused a volunteer of receiving bribes, apologized after his/her post was reported to lawyers. “Nakita ko nga nung isang linggo, mayroon nang nag-sorry. Kasi nung nag-post siya sinabi niya, ‘naku, bayaran ‘yan. Parang hindi totoong volunteer ‘yan.’ Nung biglang na-report ‘yung kanyang post do’n sa mga abogado ay biglang nag-apologize,” the spokesman said.
