A virtual music therapy program is also made available to residents of the Riverview Home Corp. - ContributedAfter more than five decades of interactions with the Riverview Home, Clarrie MacKinnon has seen a lot of changes, big and small.
“We don’t have all of the residents all grouped primarily in one place,” MacKinnon said. “They’re now spread out in various group homes.” They help fund everything from TVs in group homes to lifeguard coverage for a swimming pool used by residents in warmer weather. “Residents used to be taken regularly out to LORDA and got great satisfaction out of catching a good-sized trout,” he said.
None of this would be possible though without the contributions of local businesses and individuals in the community.
