‘I really want people to understand this was not a negative event’ - Salvatore Marchese
Salvatore Marchese, executive director of the Downtown Association, is leaving his position on March 3 to accept an undisclosed position in the local public sector.
As SooToday reported on Friday, Marchese has resigned after two years as executive director of the business improvement association."I have taken a public-sector position. That is all I can say at this point," Marchese told SooToday this morning. "I really want people to understand this was not a negative event, but that I had the support of the Downtown Association and that I will be available to assist where I am able to during the transition."He came here from Toronto following a full year of head-hunting by the Downtown Association board.
