Bowering has seemed more comfortable staying on with the Vancouver offensive unit after the getting the ball up the floor the past few weeks. He has ample stick skills. He played attack in NCAA field lacrosse for Drexel University, a school in Philadelphia. Usually defenders in box lacrosse are defenders or midfielders. Bowering had 147 goals in 57 career games with Drexel, including a 47-goal season in 2019.
His greatest asset to the Warriors, though, is his pedigree. Bowering is accustomed to playing on contenders and that’s something that the Vancouver franchise hasn’t seen a ton of, with just one playoff game over the past eight years.Article content Warriors defensive coordinator Curtis Hodgson does say that Bowering is becoming more comfortable taking a leadership role with the group despite his age.
