Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Apollo Quiboloy arrives at the Senate on October 23, 2024. Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy arrived at the Senate Wednesday morning to make his first public appearance in the congressional inquiry that looks into allegations of abuse against him and his church.

Arlene Stone, the former KOJC member who recently signed a plea bargain agreement with the US Attorney’s office in relation to their fraud case, likewise joined the hearing via virtual connection. “Why did we push ? We pushed because of the stories of young girls that we heard were being groomed in to what he called ‘pastorals’ and forced to provide sexual services to this so-called ‘Son of God,” she said in her opening statement.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo was also there to state the position of the Department of Foreign Affairs with respect to the possible extradition of Quiboloy to the United States, where he is also facing several cases.
